The tool that made SEO accountable
Index coverage, crawl errors, manual action notices, query-level performance data — everything practitioners now treat as baseline came from that product line. It also created the first formal channel for Google to notify a site owner that something was wrong, which changed the relationship between the two sides permanently.

She co-authored The Art of SEO and has spent much of her career on the translation problem: making search behaviour legible to the people building websites.
